5/16/2023 0 Comments Gk backline 112Is it the MBE 2x12 you've got, the vertically aligned one, or the NEO 2x12?. If the 112 is anything like the 212 (and it is by all accounts) then it would be a great cab for the money, for sure. I haven't weighed it but it "seems" lighter than the GK quoted weight. Power: 100W Channels: 2 Inputs: 1 Speaker outputs: 1 x 1/4 jack. That might well remove the dip at 600Hz too.įit and finish seems really good. Bike had a solid chance in the 29th minute of the match but her first shot was. ![]() I have heard it said that these cabs have no damping inside, so if it really bothers me, I could always put some foam batting inside to tighten things up. She created a number of chances and caused confusion in the FSU backline. There is plenty of bass response with the cab, although not perhaps as tight as it could be. I ended up running the tweeter almost off. very nice cab indeed !Ī bit of a bump in the hi mids (2000-2500Hz), and a small unexpected dip at around 600Hz (not difficult to adjust back with amp EQ though). Tried out my new 2 x 12 GK neo last night at a rehearsal. I was wondering if anybody on here has any info, or possibly a link to a schematic for a Gallien-Krueger Backline 112 combo bass. (I have nothing to compare this to in terms or other small 12's so im simply stunned with it) The 12 on its own had enough top and bottom end and is nice and middy. In fact with the tweeter turned up full it was too much especially slapping and was too piercing. Only downside is the tweeter which i found a bit to hissy but i use it mostly at -2db(i think) and find i dont really need any more top end at all, especially with new strings. ![]() ![]() the sound is awesome, and it doesn't wig out or distort until maybe 90 watts, which is very impressive. Same price as say Crate, but 4 times as good. i had a 40 watt amp and needed at least 100. Id read that the mb500 was very bassy before buying and was a tad worried but with the eq set at 12 oclock all the way across, i found it really tight, punchy and articulate, not overly bassy at all. Gallien-Krueger Backline 112 Published on 04/28/04 at 15:00 Bought it at Guitar Center in Concord, CA for 350, bargained to about 300. Its my first time with a small neo cab and i was blown away. It kept up in both very nicely along with the mb500. I havent gigged it but have had a rehearsal with a 9 piece and a sort of 3 piece noise pop band. Gallien Krueger Backline 112 Bass Combo Amp 249. Its really good ive found, very punchy and handles a low B really nicely. If you are on a budget of around $300 like i was, then i think i would say this is the best you can get, i was considering the SWR LA15 but half the reviews said it blew out in less than a month, so i thought sod that.Ive got a new one to along with my Mb500. ![]() I managed to crank it up and it was great! I like the 15" speaker with the Horn, i know some people dont like horns, but i like it for slap, it reminded me of my Laney which was a 10" with a horn, but with the extra power lol. Im just starting to learn bass and have an old robin p-bass original recipe bass. Gallien-Krueger Backline 112 100-Watt 1x12 Combo Bass Amp. I like the simple controls, im not one for messing with EQ and all that s**t, i also like the "Mid Scoop" which really sold it, cos i play alot of slap, it just sounded so good! Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 2-Channel 300-Watt Bass Amp Head. Then the guy pointed me towards the Rumble 100, i hadnt considered Fender for a second, and wasnt expecting much to be honest, when i got it out the box and plugged it in,WOW! I thought it sounded pretty good for a $300 amp. I Tried the GK Backline 250 head with a 15' cab, again i was disappointed, no punch, not much tone.IMO I tried the GK backline 112, um i though personally it was crap, for what i wanted anyway, no volume or tone, i had a 65 watt Laney R1 back in the UK, it had more punch than the 112, and i think by looking at the 112 it was smaller than my Laney, but was Supposed to have 35watts more Power, very disappointing. No where stock the ashdowns which was a shame, but i believe in 'try before you buy" when it comes to bass amps. Hey everyone just to let you know i bought a Fender Rumble 100 in the End.
